EMERGEUSA CONDUCTS ROBO CALLS TO GAUGE MUSLIM AMERICAN POST-ELECTION SENTIMENTS

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

November 23, 2016

WASHINGTON, DC --- EmergeUSA is conducting a series of post-election polls in various markets in an effort to gauge Muslim American sentiments across the nation. The poll was scripted over a month ago prior to the election and is a part of EmergeUSA’s regular process of running polling before and after elections.

The call consists of several questions, one which asks participants whether they identify as Muslim - as that is the targeted demographic for this survey. It was not anticipated that the poll would be released at the same time as a Muslim registry proposed by President Elect Trump.

We apologize for any confusion or concern this may have caused. As soon as concerns from the community were raised, the poll was suspended and the script was adjusted to make it clear a Muslim organization was conducting the poll as a regular process of our non-profit activities. EmergeUSA continues to seek ways to better serve the Muslim American community and America at large with valuable data to help empower our communities.
