EMERGE USA AND THE MUSLIM PUBLIC AFFAIRS COUNCIL PUBLISH VOTER GUIDE

2016 PRESIDENTIAL PRIMARY COMMUNITY TOOLKIT

WASHINGTON, DC --- Emerge USA and the Muslim Public Affairs Council (MPAC) have collaborated to co-publish a comprehensive voter guide which provides key voting information, highlights ways to get involved during the election and summarizes candidates' stance on the five top areas of policy including national security, foreign policy, economy, education and religious freedom. Emerge USA and MPAC created this guide to empower American Muslim voters and serve as an educational resource during this year's presidential election.

"The voter guide is a vital tool that will assist constituents to make informed and educated decisions at the ballot box. Our vote is our voice, and it is powerful," said Tamara Tillman, Emerge USA's Florida Government Affairs Director.

Issues specific to American Muslims have been at the forefront of this year's presidential election with many candidates openly speaking against the American Muslim population.  Emerge USA believes the appropriate response to addressing these issues is through educating voters, especially the Muslim, Arab and South Asian (MASA) voters. Emerge USA is a strong advocate for education and seeks to take the first step in mobilizing the MASA voters and other disenfranchised communities.
